Salmon Celebration Day ay Carkeek Park

The Saturday before Thanksgiving, venture down to Carkeek Park with your family to share a true Northwest experience: local salmon spawning. Throughout November, Piper’s Creek in Carkeek Park is home to one of Seattle’s most viewer-friendly salmon runs. We will celebrate their homecoming with snacks and hot drinks, music and a dance performance, a salmon scavenger hunt for kids, activity booths, & “Bert the Salmon”. Salmon Stewards will help guide you. Join us!
The Garden Hotline will be present with a native seed planting activity and an educator to answer your natural gardening questions and we will be joined by the Master Composter Sustainability Stewards as well as a host of other great organizations and some entertainers.
